Kievstar Climber

We have recently produced a commercial for a huge Ukrainian mobile operator Kyivstar called ‘The Alpinist’ together with Adventa LOWE and Lime Lite Studio.

The story told in this short video brings out the common human values, i.e. the significance of staying in contact with your precious ones, even been separated by state borders or mountain chains.

The entry picture takes us to the snowy Caucasian mountains at a height of hundreds of meters, while our heroes are been climbing the highest top in Europe – Mountain Elbrus, located in the western Caucasus mountain range, in Kabardino-Balkaria and Karachay-Cherkessia, Russia, near the border of Georgia.

The visual effects task for Cinnamon team was to transform the Crimean mountains into the Caucasian landscape by turning the blue screens into the gorges, fractures and distant ranges rising above in a foggy background. All the half-foot cliffs bathed in sun should have become the oppressive cold rock shelters shrouded in clouds.

We simply aimed to move the audience to thousands of feet above the ground and make them fall together with the main hero down from the cliff.
