We do not want to look like a black box, in which one side received information, then in the box there is something alchemical, and on the other side appears ready commercial. No. We are responsive. We are open. And involves all stakeholders from the outset of production. As we know, all good movies start with previs. This method has repeatedly proved its worth. Previs allows you to set the rhythm, dynamics, composition, and most importantly – bring thoughts of an entire group of people to a common denominator.

In the project “Prozorф”, the task was done and show – that does not exist. Namely, the structure characteristic of DNA molecules, which is called “double helix”. Even the sound is not easy, plus – formed from the water. Clusters, jets, bubbles…

Get the jet as a result of shootings is not the most difficult task, but what about the other elements of the movie? Questions arising at all. On all these issues directed by Ben Dolphin, smiling, replied: “I do not know! But I do have several options for each frame”. Indeed, as you can tell what form will become a jet of water under various conditions of influence on it at a speed of shooting 600-1000 pictures per second. Obviously, these are the forms that we can not see in real life. And to say exactly how water behaves can not even director, the portfolio of whom contains liquids for Coca-Cola, Budweiser, Calvin Klein. His approach – an experiment.

Chestnuts shyly opened the their kidneys to meet Kiev pleasant sunshine. The boys were smoking on the balcony and gaze followed the car, raced supervisor for shooting video. Alex has brought a lot of interesting stories from the set: about the behavior of water at ultra-fast shooting, about a lights specific for such cases, about a small change in the conception and filmed stuff on hard drive. This is a twin material, which went to color correction in Austria. Thus, immediately after the shooting, we started to work without waiting for completion of correction.

As expected, there were miracles, and, for example, the frame transformation of the jet of water into the structure of DNA, which was supposed to make of the constituent elements, resulting in a shooting. And everybody as charmed look at the future behavior of the clusters, which in ordinary life were a little splash of water, and at a speed of 900 frames per second, transformed into stunning iridescent substance.

Day follows day, chestnuts in the streets dressed in leaves, showing passers-by first brave candles. A material with color correction arrived in the studio, where the water has already had the desired hue. By this time, several options have been prepared especially for complex shots. Everybody was so imbued with the behavior of water, each time pouring water from a kettle from the tap for a long time to watch. Number of ideas more than the amount of time, the former at our disposal, so many of them were discussed and then discarded due to its complexity, and some carried out, modified, refined, replaced by others…

Deadline approaching, a week coming to an end. The day before the end, everyone was busy with fine tuning technical details which do not affect the perception of video in general, but make the picture perfect. Now, the movie is completed and delivered! Having a lot of rave reviews, we went to smoke on the balcony. The street is already struggling frolic in Kiev chestnut spring.
